132 - Kesha Rodgers and Sara So of The Ally League: The Importance Of Highlighting Black Owned Businesses and Entrepreneurs
Show Notes

Nick Hughes is joined by cofoudners Kesha Rodgers and Sara So of The Ally League from Seattle WA. The Ally League's mission is to combat racism by helping allies move from empathy for those affected by racism to action to dismantle it. Our initial goal is to make an impact on our community by supporting and amplifying Black-owned businesses. We bring great products from Black entrepreneurs to allies who might not otherwise know about them. This gives allies an opportunity to act toward change by including more Black-owned businesses in their buying behaviors. And that, in turn, helps stimulate the economies of our communities. Nick, Kesha and Sara have an incredibly important and informative conversation around what they are bringing to the world, with the conversation starting around their backgrounds and how they met at work, then choosing to start a company together after the pandemic and the George Floyd events in 2020. They had seen enough and  knew it was time to bring change to their world. We then hear about their Black Boxes which have different products and information from black owned businesses, as well as what they see as the future of The Ally League. Very important work is being done by these leaders and we appreciate bringing this amazing conversation between a few leaders whose main focus is to improve the world we live in. We hope it helps you today!
